Sweet & Sour Chicken

Introducing our Sweet and Sour Chicken Dippers – a quick, flavourful delight that both kids and adults will love! These 100% breast fillet dippers are crisped to perfection in the oven or air fryer, then mixed with sautéed bell peppers and pineapple. Drizzle our homemade sweet and sour sauce for a tangy twist. Serve over rice or noodles for a satisfying meal that’s a hit with the whole family!






REAL Chicken Dippers



You will need:


For the Sauce

  • 60ml pineapple juice*
  • 2 tbsp(30g) tomato ketchup
  • 2 tbsp (40g) honey
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) vinegar**
  • 2 tsp (10g) cornstarch

Everything Else

  • 20 – 24 (5 – 6 per person) Chicken with Attitude Chicken Dippers
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 red, yellow and green bell pepper, cored and diced
  • 1 mug of diced pineapple***
  • Sesame seeds to garnish, optional
  • 3 -4 mugs of cooked rice of choice to serve


Step-by-step guide:

1. One

Preheat your oven to 200C (400F). Alternatively you can cook the chicken dippers in your air fryer.

2. Two

Add all the sauce ingredients to a jug or bowl. Whisk together and set to one side.

3. Three

Add the chicken dippers to an oven tray and cook in the oven for 12 – 15 minutes. They will take approximately 8 – 10 minutes at the same temperature in an air fryer.

4. Four

Meanwhile, add the oil to pan over a medium heat. Once hot, add the diced peppers. Cook for 5 – 7 minutes, until lightly cooked.

5. Five

Add the pineapple and mix to combine.

6. Six

Add the sauce to the pan, bring to the boil, mixing consistently and then simmer for 2 -3 minutes to thicken. Take the pan off the heat.

7. Seven

Add the cooked chicken dippers and mix well to combine.

8. Eight

Serve the sweet and sour chicken dippers over a bed of rice of choice (or noodles if you prefer) and top with some sesame seeds for a little extra crunch.
